Front office staff & receptionist
the role
You are the first face a guest sees when they walk through the blue gate — and the last person who makes sure the day ran cleanly. This role combines front-of-house hospitality with genuine operational and administrative responsibility. It is not a desk job — it is a full operations role for someone who wants to understand how a boutique hotel actually runs.
what you will do
- Welcome and check in guests from across the world — warmly and professionally
- Manage bookings, payments, and room assignments using our in-house system
- Handle guest questions, requests, and local recommendations with confidence
- Coordinate airport shuttles, laundry, and F&B requests for in-house guests
- Open and close the shift — cash book, inventory check, handover notes
- Respond to messages via WhatsApp and assist with late arrivals
- Support day-to-day operational admin — supplier coordination, records, scheduling support
- Assist with OTA inbox management (Booking.com, Airbnb, Hostelworld, Agoda)
- Maintain accurate shift logs, payment records, and guest data
what we are looking for
- Warm, professional manner — you make people feel at home immediately
- Confident English — spoken and written (additional languages are a plus)
- Comfortable with technology — phones, tablets, basic software
- Organised and detail-oriented — good admin is as important as good service
- Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Honest, punctual, and takes the shift seriously
- Prior hospitality experience is welcome but not required — attitude over CV
what you will learn
- Professional front-office and hospitality operations at an internationally facing property
- Guest communication, conflict resolution, and service recovery
- Revenue handling, shift reporting, and property management workflows
- Booking platform management across all major OTAs
- Hotel operational admin — supplier management, record-keeping, scheduling
- How a modern boutique hotel operates end-to-end across every department
